Location:  Countywide

Contract Type:  Permanent

Hours per week:  10 hours (5/hrs wk in Norwich plus 5/hrs wk in King’s Lynn and Gt Yarmouth alternative weeks (flexibility with days)

Job Role: 

  • To develop and co-ordinate volunteers to operate across all services within YMCA Norfolk to meet the needs of a range of young people we work with.

Youth Engagement Worker – YIF (Mind Matters)

Position: YIF Youth Engagement Worker

This role is funded jointly by Department for Digital, Culture,  Media and Sport and the Big Lottery Fund.

Pay: £10.24 per hour

Location:  King’s Lynn

Contract Type:  One Year Fixed Term Contract (with the possibility of an extension to March 2021)

Hours per week:  3 hours

Job Role: 

  • To deliver mental health awareness sessions to hub and satellite youth clubs as part of the YIF project in Kings Lynn.
  • To promote positive mental health for all children and young people.

Youth-West Partnership

Youth-West is a new service which will be delivering weekly open access youth activities for young people aged 11 – 18 years in West Norfolk.  We are looking for people with a passion about working with young people to coordinate, provide administration and deliver face to face activities with young people.

YMCA Norfolk are looking for a Youth Engagement Worker to support their GOYA project at the Breckland Leisure Centre in Thetford.  The Youth Engagement Worker will:

  • Support young people who are taking part in the programme, ensuring their views are respected and listened to.
  • Encourage and empower young people to move from the status of recipients towards that of contributors.
  • Ensure that young people are treated with respect and dignity, and are empowered to make informed decisions about their own lives.
  • Develop the use of and support of volunteers in the Programme. In particular, ensuring that successful young people, who are involved the programme, have the opportunity to become Peer Mentors.
  • Work alongside partner agencies.

HR / Payroll Officer

Role:  HR/Payroll Officer

Location:  Norwich

Contract:  Permanent

Hours: 37.5/wk (flexible)

Pay:  £9.14/hr to £10.57/hr depending on payroll experience.

YMCA Norfolk has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic HR/Payroll Officer to join the team.  This permanent position is well suited to either a competent administrator who is looking to advance in Human Resources/Payroll, or an experienced Payroll Officer with strong administration skills and an interest in HR.

Based within the HR Department, you will process payroll on a monthly basis for a staff team of 120, as well as providing administrative support to the HR Manager to ensure the smooth running of the HR/Payroll function.

The successful candidate will ideally have proven knowledge / experience in payroll and of working in a busy administrative environment.  You will be an effective communicator who can work independently to tight timescales and are able to successfully manage and prioritise your workload.

The successful candidate will build relationships of trust with vulnerable and marginalised parents and families within the community. The aim is to be part of the prevention of care under the Alternatives to Care provision, and/or providing opportunities to enable reunification within the family unit. We can provide support and advice, build parents confidence and skills. Empowering families to experience transformation in their lives.
