How can schools support YMCA Norfolk?

We’d love pupils to gain a wider understanding of the work we do in their local community – How it impacts them? Why it’s important? And how they can get involved!

We can provide you with your own information, marketing materials, and a fundraising pack which can be sent directly to your school via email or post.

We can also come into schools and chat to your pupils about our work in the local community and join in with any fundraising efforts!

How can you talk about YMCA Norfolk in your school?

We’d love schools across Norfolk to share more about the work YMCA does in the local community. By sharing these resources with your pupils, it opens up conversations about the cost of living crisis, mental health, and housing.

Teaching children and young people about YMCA Norfolk not only increases awareness of issues facing their local community, but can also support them in their learning and development.

We’ve put together a range of resources below to help you do this effectively. Our Schools Pack includes:

  • Information about YMCA Norfolk & YMCA’s History
  • Practical ways schools can get involved with YMCA Norfolk
  • Assembly Plan to talk about Homelessness & the work of YMCA Norfolk
  • Lesson Plans for Early Years, KS1 & KS2
  • Worksheets & Colouring Sheets for Students
