Nightstop Plus Volunteer Hosts

5th October 2014 by Matthew Mckillop

Do you want to be part of a service that can help change a vulnerable young person’s life for the better?

Can you provide a welcoming, warm and safe environment for a young person to stay?

Nigtstop provides emergency accommodation for vulnerable young people in the homes of local people who volunteer as Hosts. Nightstop can help a young person who suddenly finds themselves homeless and with little to no support network in place. Stays can be anything from just one night up to five nights.

Hosts will help a young people in need by providing a room, meals and washing facilities. Without the help and support of our volunteer Hosts we would not be able to provide this invaluable service. Sometimes all a young person needs is time and space to be able to find more permanent accommodation or start rebuilding relationships enabling them to return home.

Through Nightstop we offer support and advice for young people including; securing more permanent accommodation, their health and well-being, access to benefits and finance and family liaison and mediation.

All of our Hosts receive comprehensive training, expenses and have access to 24 hour support from skilled, trained YMCA Norfolk staff.

Have you a spare room for the night?

If you have a heart for young people and have a spare room, then we want to hear from you:
