A charity fashion show with a difference has raised almost £400 for the vital work of YMCA Norfolk with vulnerable young people and families across the county.
The YMCA Families team put on the Recycled Runway fashion show at St Albans Church in Norwich on Thursday March 17 showcasing second-hand clothes and those from local craftspeople.
Over 50 people attended and saw friends, supporters, families, staff and young people who had been supported by YMCA Norfolk model clothes on the catwalk.
Clothes were given by the YMCA Shop in Holt and Storehouse on Magdalen Road in Norwich, which donated beautiful bridesmaid and prom dresses.
There were stalls offering makeup and handbags, plus live music from Dave Guttridge and Barny Holmes, as seen on the Voice UK
Families Team Manager, Stephanie Hillier, explained that the support received would go towards helping the work of YMCA Norfolk, including its Families Team who support families experiencing difficult situations.
“The team offer social work assessments, therapeutic interventions, parenting and practical life skills to encourage learning and development for the whole family and enable then to lead fulfilling lives,” said Stephanie.
