YMCA Norfolk is offering free water refills at its Stepping Stones Café, next to Norwich city centre bus station, and hopes it will also help reduce plastic waste.
Stepping Stones has just become a free tap water re-fill station and is registered on the ReFill App.
YMCA Communications Officer, Jess Tyson, said: “People are welcome to come into the café to fill up their own water bottles – just ask a member of staff.
“We also sell reusable YMCA branded water bottles for just £1.99 each
“YMCA Norfolk wants to reduce the amount of plastic used – especially ‘single use plastic’ – as we are aware of the environmental concern and want to do our bit. We hope that by offering reusable bottle for purchase and free tap water refills we can help people reduce plastic waste and make a difference,” said Jess.
