To celebrate YMCA Norfolk’s 160th anniversary year we have been running a project, funded through the Heritage Lottery Fund to produce an exhibition that reveals the YMCA’s hidden history in Norfolk. Over the past few months young people at YMCA Norfolk have been finding out about the interesting and diverse history of the charity and have responded through visual interpretation, deciding which stories are important to tell, and by sharing their own experiences of the YMCA today.
The exhibition explores the diversity in the range of work and people involved in the YMCA as it supports the changing needs of local communities, and will share some of the important work achieved throughout its history.
On display at the Museum of Norwich from 6th September – 17th October. Look out for dates of other locations across Norfolk coming soon!
