Who is it for?
YMCA shared housing is for 18-30 year olds (both sexes). Entry is via HAF (Hostel Accommodation Form) referral and YMCA Housing Services.
Tenants should be ready for independent living and in work, requiring affordable housing.
What are the aims?
We aim to provide safe, supportive accommodation with low level housing management and access to tenant involvement opportunities.
What accommodation is available?
Two 4 bedroom shared houses which are furnished and self-catered.
Who staffs YMCA Shared Housing?
All houses have an out-of-hours emergency contact available 24 hours a day, every day. Tenants at Barnard’s Yard are allocated a key worker. Minimal support is offered at this service.
