Where do the funds go?
YMCA Norfolk is dedicated to transforming young lives by providing vital support and opportunities across the county. We work at the heart of communities, offering a wide range of services to help young people build brighter futures.
From safe and stable housing for those experiencing homelessness to specialist support and advice, we ensure that every young person has access to the resources they need to thrive. Our counselling services offer guidance for mental health and well-being, while our education and training programs help develop skills and create pathways to employment.
Beyond this, we run youth clubs and community initiatives, creating safe spaces where young people can socialise, learn, and grow. Whether it’s through mentoring, life skills workshops, or simply offering a listening ear, we are committed to empowering young people to reach their full potential.

How can I get involved?
You can sign up and book your time slot below! Once your application has been accepted, you will receive a consent form and all the information you need to get started with fundraising.
We ask that everyone who signs up, commits to raising a minimum of £100. This money makes a massive difference in the day to day lives of the young people we support at YMCA Norfolk.
There is no upper age limit, or weight limit, but we recommend consulting your doctor if you have any prior health issues before signing up to take part.
What if I can’t take part?
If for whatever reason you’re unable to take part in our Abseiling Challenge, there are still a number of ways you can get involved. These include, donating to our page on the right, coming to support people on the day, or taking part in another fundraising activity for YMCA Norfolk. We also have some amazing sponsorship opportunities for this event and opportunities for small businesses to join us on the day at the Forum.
