Support in Schools
We have vast experience in delivering pastoral care and support in schools to enable young people to fulfil their potential.
YMCA delivers a range of programmes within the school environment to support the most vulnerable and challenging students to re-engage with the curriculum and wider school life. We can partner schools to complement the care and support systems already in place, adding further capacity and value to their work. Programmes can be tailored to meet the individual needs of your pupils.
Our work is delivered through a strong partnership approach using extensively supported and trained workers.
Our schools programmes are specifically designed to promote and improve;
- Attendance
- Behaviour
- Attainment
- NEET to EET targets
- Wellbeing
- Peer-to-peer support
Within schools we have a range of programmes which we are currently successfully delivering to support children and young people emotional and mental health and transitions to secondary school.
“It was great to see them become fully involved in the sessions and much of the success of the sessions was down to your delivery and manner of working with them” P.S.H.E Teacher, The Locksley School
