Peace of Mind counselling service

We offer young people a safe place to stay along with support to get into education, work or training and build a secure foundation from which they can move on in to independence when ready.
Many of these young people also need to feel supported emotionally and have often come to us through difficult, painful situations. That’s why our counselling service is vital. We can offer a safe space to talk, be heard and supported to identify and explore difficulties and ways to move forward.
Our counselling service has been running since 2013 supporting hundreds of young people living in our accommodation aged 16 – 25.

All of our counsellors are either fully qualified or in their final stages of training. They are trained in a variety of approaches and as a service we work to the ethical framework for good practice of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. Counsellors are ethically bound to keep everything in a counselling session confidential. They won’t share any information with anyone outside the counselling agency, unless in very rare cases a person’s welfare or safety is at risk. A copy of the BACP Ethical Framework can be viewed online at the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy
