Who is it for?
Woolstencroft welcomes 18-30 year olds of both sexes. Entry is via HAF (Hostel Accommodation Form) referral from agencies, self-referral and YMCA Housing Services.
Tenants are of low risk and need, with low tolerance for alcohol and substance misuse. Applicants with medium support needs may be considered with support packages from other agencies (eg Together UK, Probation Service) subject to assessment.
What are the aims?
Residents are encouraged to develop independent living skills, through measures such as tenancy management, budgeting skills and training & education opportunities.
What accommodation is available?
15 rooms in a shared house. Breakfast and evening meals are provided, cooked by staff and tenants. Housekeeping is undertaken by staff and tenants; tenants are responsible for the upkeep of their own rooms.
Who staffs Woolstencroft?
Intensive Housing Management is available between 8am and 10.00pm. An out-of-hours emergency contact is available 24 hours a day, every day. Each tenant has an allocated Tenancy Support Worker.
