We aim to operate every Friday and Saturday from 9pm til 3am. On rare occasions we may not be operational due to circumstances beyond our control. We will be present on as many nights as we can. Updates can be followed from our Twitter page @sossafehaven.

All staff and volunteers are linked to the unit by closed circuit radios. This allows volunteers and staff to communicate with each other privately when additional support or information is needed. They are never alone.

We also have a second set of radios linked to the CCTV. These radios allow constant contact with CCTV, Norfolk Constabulary and all licensed venues.

We accept referrals from:

  • Members of the public
  • Self referrals
  • Friends and Family
  • Licensed Venues
  • Norfolk constabulary
  • CCTV
  • SOS teams
  • Taxi driver/offices

Volunteers operate in pairs at all time to ensure they remain safe but have support when needed to deal with what is presented to them.

Our core funding comes from the West Norfolk Clinical Commissioning group with additional funding coming from applications to a range of funders including Norfolk Community Foundation.

We are always looking for support from the local community in order to keep our services available and free.
