The E-Learning Service
YMCA Norfolk

35-37 Exchange Street

Tel: 01603 340874
Mob: 07849 087955

The Service will contact the pupil’s family and afterwards arrange for a trainer to visit the pupil in the appropriate setting. Installation of any necessary computer equipment and software will take place during the training visit in which the pupil, and their parent/carer, will be shown how to access the online features and during which internet safety will be addressed.  After the visit, pupil log-in details will be shared with the school in order that regular checks on progress can be made by the ‘key-worker’ or mentor.

Regular checks on progress are made by the Service and a trainer will be asked to revisit the student at home if engagement becomes an issue. At the end of each term e-teachers write reports on pupil progress and these are made accessible to the school and shared with the student and parents/carers.

Where students have worked well, this is celebrated by the issuing of termly merit certificates.
