Room Sponsorship

Room Sponsorship is about much more than what young people need to survive in the world, it’s about what they need to thrive in it.

By sponsoring a room you will help fund the extra services that we provide for young people. Room Sponsors support young people towards a brighter future by giving them the opportunity to develop the skills they need to move on with their lives.

Many young people become homeless through no fault of their own; the main ‘trigger’ for youth homelessness is family breakdown and for many young people this is a consequence of long-term conflict, violence or neglect.

Young people without suitable housing are amongst the most vulnerable in our society. When a young person becomes homeless they are often extremely lonely, isolated and vulnerable. Without support their life can easily descend into one of poverty and exclusion. Homeless people often have problems staying in education, training or employment but they also face difficulties, including low self-esteem, poor health and, in some cases they develop mental health problems.

By becoming a Room Sponsor you can help transform the lives of some of the 260 young people we provide a safe home and support for every night.

Our Room Sponsorship scheme gives you the chance to help a homeless person transform their life. For as little as 40p a day (£12 a month) you can help ensure that a homeless young person help they need to turn their life around.

Why you should sponsor a room

  • Homelessness affects lots of young people every year. It is estimated 1 in every 100 young people experiences some form of homelessness every year.
  • Room Sponsorship funds projects and activities that develop young people’s life skills, education and employability ensuring they are prepared for the future, living independently and helping to break the cycle of homelessness.
  • Our approach means that young people are empowered to be actively involved in projects, ensuring our support is practical, relevant and long-lasting.
  • You can play a significant role in helping young people to realise their full potential and making a real difference within your community.
  • To prove this, you’ll see the difference you’re helping to make through regular updates and invites to our events.
