Job Title: Catering Assistant
Location: Stepping Stones, Norwich
Responsible to: Catering Manager
Responsible for: N/a
Job Role: To carry out the preparation of food and other associated tasks within the catering unit. To ensure that at all times the catering function is carried out to the level of the YMCA Norfolk agreed standards and is undertaken in accordance with Health and Safety legislation, Environmental Health Guidelines and Food Hygiene requirements. To contribute to the provision of high-quality support to homeless single people within a safe, supportive and secure environment.

What you’ll need to succeed:
Knowledge of housing legislation including tenancy management and the issues facing homeless young people. An understanding of needs and risk assessments and knowledge of Safeguarding Children and Young People. You will need previous experience of working in a support or housing setting and the ability to implement restorative and possession procedures to respond to anti-social behaviour and breaches of tenancy. You will need to be willing to work unsocial hours.
