The YMCA charity shop on Fish Hill in Holt has won a national Christmas Window Display competition among the more than 90 such YMCA shops across England and Wales.
Credit goes to shop manager Elizabeth Freck and colleagues Pam Hill and Colin Wilson, who helped put the display together.
Elizabeth said: “We were very proud and thrilled to win the window competition, we have a superb shop with fantastic space. We save Christmas stock all year and, along with the windows, we have displays and trees within the shop.
“Pam Hill not only did the A-frame window, but also wrote a poignant message which is simple, but says what the charity is all about. Credit should also go to Colin who helped me with the other window display. Our team also includes volunteers who produce displays within the shop.”
YMCA Norfolk chief executive, Tim Sweeting, paid tribute, saying: “I was very pleased, but not surprised in the slightest to see this wonderful news! Looking at the pictures, I can see why the Holt shop was a worthy winner. I particularly like the framed question about the child in a stable.
